It is about that time when families gather to watch the holiday classic, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. First airing on December 6, 1964, this year marks its 50th Anniversary. On Tuesday, December 9th, Doc & Andie tracked down the voice of Hermey the Dentist, Paul Soles.

Soles experienced his first Comic Con in Downtown Detroit yesterday. It was there; where he realized just how much Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer has impacted people over the years, “…to realize the found impact this show’s had on their lives, is such a reward for an actor or for anybody. And you look in the face across the table at these little kids and you realize exactly why you do shows like this, and it’s very, very rewarding when one connects so durably.”

Watch Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer’s golden anniversary tonight 8/7C on CBS Channel 3!
