Prior to headlining the 32nd annual XTU Anniversary Show, Brantley Gilbert sat down with Andie and Frank of the XTU Morning Crew.

In front of a live crowd, Gilbert seemed relaxed and ready to perform while talking to both Andie and Frank. Trying to engage the crowd, Gilbert did a live question and answer session with those in attendance. The session was lighthearted and Gilbert opened up on a number of topics including the looks of a fan he spotted in the crowd, what his favorite movie was and some crazy stories he has from his onstage performances.

While doing the live question and answer session, Gilbert spotted a fan in the crowd that caught his eye. The young man caught Gilbert’s eye because of his height. When the XTU headliner asked how tall he was, the fan responded “7’3″.” Gilbert was then asked about what his favorite movie was. After jokingly answering The Notebook, Gilbert said that he liked films such as Scarface, Goodfellas and Dirty Grandpa. Gilbert admitted that “some of the parts in that movie made me blush.”

Before ending the live Q&A, Gilbert told the crazy story about an encounter he once had onstage with a pair of female underwear. Gilbert told the story about how one time when he was onstage shaking hands with fans, one fan threw a pair of underwear up onto the stage and it latched onto one of Gilbert’s bracelets. Gilbert said at the time he did not realize what had happened until he lifted his arm up in the air in front of the entire live crowd.

To say the least Gilbert’s wife, who was in attendance, was not to pleased. Gilbert told the intimate Anniversary Show crowd that once his wife spotted what had happened, she looked at his head of security P.J. and asked “P.J. can you take me to the pit?”

When you come to the XTU Anniversary Show you will never know what will happen or what the performers will do. With the show now underway, it is time to sit back and enjoy the music.
