Randy Travis is one of the true legends of country music and this weekend current country star Kenny Chesney decided to honor this legend.

Performing in Arlington, TX at AT&T Stadium Kenny Chesney had Randy Travis sit on the side of the stage during his performance. However, when Chesney decided to play Travis’ “Diggin’ Up the Bones,” he had the country legend come up and join him on stage.

“Randy Travis paved the way and brought back country music” Chesney told the audience according to Taste of Country. “Like George Jones, he is an original and the real deal. It was great having him in the house and it was great bringing him out for all the fans to see the man who brought so many young people to country music back in the ’80s.”

It is certainly great to see Travis in good spirits after all he has been through over the past few years. To see a clip of Travis joining Chesney onstage check out the video below.
