Cole Swindell just received the “biggest honor” of his career.

CMA New Artist of the Year nominee Cole Swindell has been named the Songwriter/Artist of the Year by the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI).

“It’s the biggest honor of my career by far because I moved to this town to be a songwriter” the “You Should Be Here” singer said in a pre-recorded acceptance message. “All I ever wanted to do was to write songs.”

Later this month, Swindell is set to release his latest five-track EPĀ Down Home Sessions III. Swindell will visit Philadelphia as a part of his Down Home Tour on December 8.
