The Grand Ole Opry is headed to New York.

The famed country music venue is expanding its brand with a new location in Times Square. This will mark the first time in the venue’s 91-year history that it has left Tennessee.

Plans were announced Thursday (October 28) for the opening of the Opry City Stage, which will feature retail space, a listening room, private event space and a bar and restaurant.

Chairman and CEO of Ryman Hospitality Properties, Inc., which owns the Opry House and the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Colin Reed said that the group is looking to expand the country music concept to other cities along with New York.

The New York location of Opry City Stage is set to open in April of 2017.
