2016 Survivor Celebration: A Mom Who Was Always There For Her Kids

Ashley Therien says that her mom is her best friend. That’s why, on the night of her high school junior prom when her mom found out she was diagnosed with breast cancer, Ashley says she has “never been so upset and scared.”

At the age of 42, Ashley’s mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. Despite this, she fought. Not only did she fight, but she also managed to still provide for Ashley and her older brother.

Ashley and her brother grew up racing cars. Although she was going through treatment, Ashley’s mom made sure she was at every race to cheer her children on.

Ashley’s mom is a survivor. A two-year survivor in fact and Ashley is thankful each and every day that she is.

Let’s celebrate Ashley’s mom!
