2016 Survivor Celebration: Young Boy Doesn’t Want Another Child To Lose Their Mom

On August 25, 2016 Inez Waugh’s daughter died of breast cancer. Throughout her daughter’s entire fight, Waugh’s grandson (her daughter’s son), was there every step of the way.

While his mom was sick and in pain, Waugh’s grandson held his mother, just trying to be there for her. Waugh says that the young boy “went through the whole experience with his mom.”

Waugh’s grandson wants to be a research scientist when he grows up. He wants to find a cure so that no other child has to lose their mom like he did.
