A “great place to play” and “always a guaranteed good time;” that is why Garth Brooks is coming back to Philadelphia.

For the first time in 19 years , Garth Brooks returns to Philadelphia this March for a total of four shows. For Brooks, Pennsylvania and Ohio have typically been neck and neck when it comes to his biggest states, but with his current tour having already stopped in Pittsburgh and State College, Brooks thought that the “swamp had been drained.”

The demand here for four shows was unexpected for Brooks. “This caught us all by surprise” he told our own Razz on the Radio.

Last time he was here (1998), Brooks played six sold out shows at the then First Union Center with 120,000 tickets being sold in just about three and a half hours.

While of course he would love to perform in front of four sold out crowds this time around, Brooks said he won’t mind if he has to play for 200 people on the final night (March 26). He just wants to make sure everyone who wants a ticket can get one.

When he comes here to the City of Brotherly Love, Brooks said his days will be pretty filled up. The country icon treats his crew like a sports team, and everyone involved with the production of his shows go everywhere together.

Brooks will be in Philadelphia from Friday, March 24 – Sunday, March 26. Tickets for the fourth show (March 26) will go on sale Thursday, February 16 at 10 a.m. and you can purchase them right here.

If you are headed to see Brooks and his wife Trisha Yearwood next month be ready for a good time because Brooks said “It’s going to be a lot of fun!”
