Ryan Kinder once wanted to play baseball in the big leagues, but now he is playing music at the 33rd annual 92.5 XTU Anniversary Show.

Growing up in Birmingham, Alabama, Ryan Kinder had dreams of making it to the majors. However, during his days at the University of Alabama he realized his dream wasn’t in fact to to play baseball, but to perform country music.

The up and coming artist has taken a different approach when it comes to his music. Rather than just focusing on his vocals, Kinder also takes great pride in his guitar work.

“I feel like playing is equal to singing” Kinder said through his label Warner Music Nashville. “In fact you can sing through a guitar like it’s another voice and that’s what I want – for people to forget what they’re hearing.”

His debut single “Kiss Me When I’m Down” landed Kinder on the Country Airplay chart. So too did his breakout and most recent single “Close.”

Kinder will join the likes of Thomas Rhett, Dan + Shay, Granger Smith and more at the 33rd annual 92.5 XTU Anniversary Show which will take place on Saturday, June 3 at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey.
