Rock icon Mick Jagger teamed up with Brad Paisley for the country star’s recently released “Drive of Shame,” but the “Today” artist hints more could be on the way.
While “Drive of Shame” is the track that made his recently released album Love and War, Paisley said it was not the only track he and Jagger worked on. “We came up with a couple of songs, actually” Paisley told CMT.
This collaboration between the rock icon and the country superstar first came about when Paisley opened for the Rolling Stones back in 2015 during their tour stop in Nashville. “I said, ‘You should come back when we don’t have anything to do and we can write, record, go to dinner and goof around.’ He was like, ‘How’s September?’ That was really the way we got to kick off the album” Paisley said.
Love and War marks the 11th studio album for Paisley and the first since his 2014 number one album Moonshine in the Trunk. Love and War was released on April 21.
