Jim Donovan of CBS3 has some advice for you when it comes to your stuff: “If you are not going to use it, you should get rid if it.”
Tuesday (May 2), Donovan joined the XTU Morning Crew to talk about some advice he has when it comes to yard sales. The news anchor said it is “non-sense” to pay hundreds of dollars to store your stuff.
Donovan teamed up with experts to find out what some secrets to success are when it comes to a yard sale. He found out that items such as clothing (especially baby clothing) and children’s toys were some of the top sellers and that early Saturday mornings were the best day to hold a sale.
“If you see someone that’s got a yard sale going on at three or four o’clock in the afternoon, they are really a novice at this whole thing,” Donovan said. “They need to pack up their stuff and put it back in the house.”
Donovan serves as co-anchor of CBS3’s Eyewitness News This Morning, which airs weekdays from 4:30 – 7:00 a.m., and Eyewitness News at Noon. He is also CBS3’s resident consumer reporter.
You can get more of Donovan’s yard sale advice Tuesday (April 2) night as part of Top-3 Tuesday on CBS3’s Eyewitness News at 11.
