Another game, another big name performed the National Anthem for the Nashville Predators.
Monday (May 22), the Nashville Predators of the NHL kept up their playoff-long tradition of bringing in some of the city’s best to perform the National Anthem. This time, it was the legendary Trisha Yearwood who stepped onto the ice to perform the pre-game duties.
Like has been the case with many of the artists who have taken part in the tradition during this year’s playoffs, Yearwood must have given the Predators some good luck as they won 6-3 and advanced to their first Stanley Cup Finals in franchise history.
As she performed the National Anthem, Yearwood’s husband Garth Brooks shared an old photo of her sporting a Predators jersey. “Fan since day one,” he wrote.
Other artists who have performed the National Anthem for the Predators during their current playoff run have included Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Kelly Clarkson, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan and Vince Gill with his daughters.
