In the wake of the recent attack at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England earlier this week, a major topic of discussion has centered around the future of concerts. While Grande has cancelled the rest of her European Tour – for obvious reasons – one artist who is refusing to back down is Maren Morris.

Morris’ Hero Tour is scheduled to visit Manchester this fall and the “My Church” artist has said the show will go on.

In a social media post Morris wrote, “We do this to connect. For just a few hours, no matter what religion, race, gender, or economic background you come from, music tethers us. My heart is broken for Manchester, but I want my fans there to know that I can’t wait to see you and give you all big hugs this Fall. No one should fear walking into a venue or onto a stage. It’s our job to fight that and have the best time ever. We do this for each other and that will never be stopped.”

Morris is scheduled to perform in Manchester on November 20.
