Country music paid well in 2017 – just ask these 10 artists!
Forbes has released their annual list of the 10 highest paid country artists and this year Garth Brooks, thanks to his ongoing comeback tour, topped all earning a total of $60 million.
Kenny Chesney came in second this year in earnings with a total of $42.5 million. Luke Bryan ($42 million), Dolly Parton ($37 million), Florida Georgia Line ($34.5 million) and Toby Keith ($34.5 million) all rounded out the top five.
Forbes‘ list was based on their estimates of the artists’ pretax income from June 1, 2016 through June 1, 2017. Fees for things such as managers, agents and lawyers were not deducted.
