This is why we love country music!
Prior to a recent show in North Carolina the guys of Florida Georgia Line teamed with a non-profit group called the Independence Fund to present an $18,000 wheelchair to a wounded Marine veteran.
According to the Charlotte Observer, the all-terrain Track Chair will change the way Marine Corps Staff Sergeant David Tupper is able to move about the world.
“I’m going to get out hunting and fishing and I’m definitely going to be able to go on the beach a lot easier now,” Tupper said.
The moment not only had an impact on Tupper, but it also had an impact on both Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley. “I think it’s just a daily reminder to not take life for granted,” Hubbard said.
“It’s just cool being a part of something that can give a little bit of life, a little bit of joy, a little bit more connection back to his family, to God, to nature – getting back to a normal life period,” Kelley added.
Tupper suffered catastrophic injuries, including a traumatic brain injury that left him paralyzed, over three years ago during an attack on his platoon. He spent more than a year in rehab.
