Danielle Bradbery has been busy since her winning season on NBC’s “The Voice”. The twenty-one year old country performer has spent much of the last five years in Nashville, where she has been playing an active role in writing the songs for her new album, “I Don’t Believe We’ve Met”, due out in December.
Perhaps understandably, the songstress did not have a part in the writing process for her first album, “Danielle Bradbery” in 2013. After all, she was only 16 years-old when she won Season Four of “The Voice”! This time around, however, Danielle can officially bill herself as SONGWRITER, as she co-wrote 7 of the 10 tracks on the forthcoming record.
While it may be hard to believe that Danielle’s inaugural run as composer sounds as polished and creative as a veteran musician’s, it is nonetheless the truth. And evidence of that very fact was heard today in Philadelphia, as Danielle stopped by to grace 92.5 XTU with four songs off the upcoming album.
She absolutely exuded both confidence and charm, discussing her journey from sixteen year-old contest winner to authentic twenty-one year-old musician. I’m sure those of us of age remember that tumultuous path of self-discovery and self-improvement over those tumultuous years, and Danielle immediately struck a sense of empathy with the crowd in describing what that process looked like for her. Included in her mini-concert was “Sway”, the first single off of “I Don’t Believe We’ve Met”, which is catchy enough to stay stuck in all your head ALL DAY. I should know.
Take it from me…with those pipes, combined with the adorable personality of a Southern gal, Danielle Bradbery is sure to be a name you’ll keep hearing in the future.
