I don’t think anyone can contest that LeAnn Rimes has some pipes.  After all, she’s been entertaining us since the tender age of 13 with songs and anthems that have wracked up awards for her trophy case.  It’s ALSO true that her voice seems perfectly suited for those country songs that hit you deep in the feels, the kind you can’t stop thinking about after they’re over.  And LeAnn recently took to Instagram to show off those very chops covering one of those very songs.

In an impressive video, Rimes sings “You Never Even Called Me By My Name”, a classic we heard first from David Allan Coe, with her signature country twang.  The video is nothing if not chill, an acoustic version featuring Rimes in ripped jeans sitting on a cozy couch in her dressing room.  Fresh off a gig at Billy Bob’s Texas, known as “The World’s Largest Honky-Tonk”, it’s great to see LeAnn letting her hair down with this impromptu performance.
