Friday night was not a great evening for Carrie Underwood.
Fresh on the heels of co-hosting the 51st Annual CMAs, the country star fell on the stairs outside her Nashville-area home. In addition to cuts and abrasions…understandable, when you think about the combination of flesh and concrete…The Tennessean reports Underwood sustained a broken wrist in the fall.
LUCKILY, Carrie’s injuries were not as bad as they could have been. She took to Twitter on Sunday to thank the MYRIAD of well-wishers and fans who expressed good thoughts for a speedy recovery.
Underwood’s husband Mike Fisher, former captain of the Nashville Predators, rushed home to be with his wife, traveling through the night to arrive on Saturday morning. She was released from the hospital into his care, and with attention and compassion like that, we can totally understand the gratitude for her hubby in Sunday’s tweet.
A statement released by Carrie’s spokesperson cautions that the singer’s recovery may take a bit of time, adding that she, “…appreciates all prayers and well-wishes.”
Carrie, from Philadelphia to Nashville, here’s hoping you’re feeling better as soon as possible. Anyone who has ever broken a bone knows what the recovery process is like, so we at 92.5 XTU are sending you healing thoughts and positive vibes that we’ll see you back up and performing soon!
