When you hear “Rascal Flatts”, you probably think of such hits as I’m Movin’ On and What Hurts the Most. Maybe you think of the trio’s amazing stage shoes, with lasers and pyrotechnics. You certainly think of genuine country musicians, churning out the kind of music we all like to hear.
But I bet you don’t think “celebrity rap battle.”
Well, it’s time to change your train of thought, because TONIGHT, Rascal Flatts will throw down against Boys II Men on TBS’ “Drop the Mic” in the ultimate battle of beats and rhymes.
“Drop the Mic” is hosted by Method Man and Hailey Baldwin, and and the concept was born from James Corden’s late-night segment of rap battles on CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden.” It features, as you would expect, celebrities pitted against each other to fight the fight of words, freestyle.
Now, this ultimate showdown doesn’t happen until this evening, Tuesday, November 14th. However, TBS was kind enough to release a clip on Twitter, and it. is. epic.
Tune in to TBS at 10:30 p.m. Eastern time to catch the action, because it’s not very often you can hear a group like Rascal Flatts ripping on Boys II Men for their classic hit One Sweet Day. And Joe Don Rooney isn’t too hard on the eyes, either.
