We know Thanksgiving is the main thing on people’s minds right now. And after that, it’ll be Black Friday. And after that, it’ll be Cyber Monday.
But it’s the next day we want to talk about…#GivingTuesday.
Giving Tuesday encourages those who can to donate to a nonprofit, volunteer with needy families, or engage in other activities designed to give back to the community. It’s a great way to spread some generosity, and some pre-Holiday cheer, in the midst of all the shopping for the perfect gift.
That’s where 92.5 XTU and #CountOnCountry comes in.
The week of November 27th is our Count on Country week of giving. That Tuesday, November 28th, is #GivingTuesday, of course, so it’ll be time for our #CountOnCountry Food Drive. We’ll be collecting food in the morning at Swiss Farms in Havertown, and at Creamy Acres in Mullica Hill in the afternoon/evening. Click here for more information!
Count on Country continues all week for us, and it’s the 28th…that’s #GivingTuesday, remember…when you’ll definitely want to tune in at noon. There will be an On-Air special for victims and families of the Harvest 91 shooting. It will feature stories from the heroic Vegas First Responders, as well a music from many of the artists who were at the Harvest 91 Festival. This hour-long special is hosted by country stars Big & Rich, and is COMPLETELY COMMERCIAL FREE.
It all culminates in the XTU Toy Truck parade on December 2nd, the Season of Giving Kickoff! We’re going to build a mountain of toys for the families of the USO and the Boys and Girls Club, and enjoy a super fun parade of decorated trucks filled with presents. The energy and spirits will be high, and we’d love to see you! Click here for more information! Don’t forget to use the hashtag #toytruck to link up with other participants!
Then, of course, is our #CountOnCountry Concert starring Luke Combs at Prospectors in Mt. Laurel, NJ, which ALSO benefits the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia!
We thank you so much for your thoughts, actions, and generosity during the #CountOnCountry week of giving. Remember…we would only be X-T without You!
