It’s here, country fans.  It’s here.

We are SO. EXCITED for this year’s parade, and, among many special reasons, there’s a super special one we’d like to share with you.

This year’s grand marshal is actually five grand marshals.  And they’re children.

But they’re not just children.

They are patients at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and we are honored to have them as the stars of our parade.

These children, and their siblings, and their parents, are true heroes.  They have gone through battles many of us couldn’t even imagine, and yet, they are families, and are held together with love.  They fight, every day, just for the privilege to keep loving each other, and if that isn’t something to be recognized, then we don’t know what is.

Come on out to the Montgomery Mall tomorrow morning.  Our parade is leaving the Walmart in Hatfield at 10:00 and will arrive at the Mall at 10:15.  There will be nearly two hundred trucks decorated and stuffed with toys, not to mention all the fire engines…and yes, naturally one of those fire trucks will be carrying Santa!

Meet us inside the mall as we build Toy Mountain, enjoy being serenaded by a school choir, and hear the results of the decoration judging.  And then…and we can’t wait for this…our five grand marshals will each choose five toys from the GIGANTIC collection of gifts.  Even their siblings get to choose one!

You see, we have a special relationship with CHOP.  Our sister station, 98.1 WOGL is holding the 98.1 WOGL Loves Our Kids Radiothon on CHOP’s very campus, where we’ll be broadcasting live all day December 7th and 8th.  There will be activities, local celebrities and sports figures, stories from actual CHOP families, and a whole lotta good energy and karma.  It’s all to raise money to help CHOP, which is a nationally-recognizing, shining jewel in our city.

Come out tomorrow to share in our joy, and tune in to 98.1 WOGL December 7th and 8th for ALL THE FEELS.  We’re so excited, and can’t wait to see your excitement, too!
