The Musicians on Call Organization is a marvelous initiative which aims to bring music to, and lighten the spirits of, patients in the nation’s hospitals.  Luke Bryan lent a hand to the effort at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City recently, spending the day with patients and caregivers and treating them to an acoustic concert of some of his biggest hits.

In conjunction, Bose and Pandora host a program called the Music Pharmacy, which allows patients to stream music from their hospital beds; to this end, Luke brought a giant gift basket of Bose headphones to Lenox Hill for patients to enjoy streaming their music of choice this holiday season.

In the You Tube video below, Luke can be heard commenting, “This is good for the soul here.  Spread the love around.”

I’m guessing Luke’s soul was not the only one singing that day.  Can you just imagine, if you are unlucky enough to be hospitalized during this joyous season, how nice an impromptu visit from Luke Bryan would be???  And, it might just be us, but there’s something about a country boy with an acoustic guitar…be still, our fluttering hearts.

You can check out the video from Musicians on Call below.  Thank you, Luke, for putting in the time and effort to brighten so many people’s days, and for using your fame and following for such a selfless purpose.
