Sam Hunt is one of the better-known names in country music, and I think we can all be grateful for the time he spent in Nashville building his music career. After all, we all benefit from his hard work!
Recently, though, the artist revealed a new direction his life will also be taking, inspired by his wife Hannah.
Hunt is usually pretty private about his personal relationship on social media, but he took to Instagram with a photo that tells us everything we need to know about his better half and precisely why he loves her.
Hannah, apparently, is a great humanitarian, devoting herself to causes and needs across the globe. She has provided medical care to Hondurans during a political coup in 2009, delivered babies in Northern Iraq during the 2014 elections, and worked with Holocaust survivors in Israel through a feeding program.
In the post, Hunt recognizes that this kind of work is his wife’s ambition, and that she has not always been able to chase her dream because of the career he has been building. But that is about to change.
A Taste of Country revealed that Hunt will be accompanying his wife on a humanitarian mission this winter. He says, “This winter, thanks to the people who’ve supported me and my music, I’m able to go with her and be a part of her dreams as they’ve become mine. If you’ve ever bought a record or come to a show, God bless you for giving us this opportunity.”
This kind of passion and devotion is literally what’s going to save the world, and it’s amazing to see such a big name like Sam Hunt’s associated with the good work around the world that he, his wife, and scores of other caregivers and volunteers are doing every day. Here’s hoping we’ll hear soon where Sam and Hannah are headed and what they’ll be doing to help…but I think it’s safe to say, we can totally understand why they’re together. Thank you both for your big hearts, big dreams, and big accomplishments!
While I was in Nashville trying to get things going with music, Hannah was providing medical care to Hondurans during the 2009 coup. She was working in Syrian refugee camps and delivering Kurd babies in northern Iraq during the 2014 elections. She spent time in Israel where she helped with a feeding program and worked with Holocaust survivors. This photo was taken by @igotnostrings in the Marshall Islands- where she was a part of a team providing basic health care to people on the island of Lib. Her heart for humanity is one of the things I admire most about her but she’s put her ambitions on hold to be with me for the past year and a half. This winter, thanks to the people who’ve supported me and my music, I’m able to go with her and be a part of her dreams as they’ve become mine. If you’ve ever bought a record or come to a show, God bless you for giving us this opportunity🙏
