Any country fan worth their salt knows the name Randy Houser. His last album, Fired Up, solidified his position as a big name in country radio, and rumor has it he’s been writing extensively and is working full-time on a new album.
Lately, though, he’s been performing to enthusiastic crowds, and has been bringing a close friend up on stage with whom you are probably familiar.
One Mr. Johnny Galecki…AKA Dr. Leonard Hofstadter on Big Bang Theory, AKA Rusty in Christmas Vacation, AKA David on Roseanne…is apparently a bangin’ drummer, and his Instagram account is littered with videos and images of him rocking out with Houser and his band.
Playing drums on tour with my brother @randyhouser is one of the greatest thrills of my blessed life. If you were not taught an instrument (which I️ was not, as you snooty musicians will inevitably take joy in pointing out) or if you have children, teach them our joyous, universal language even if that means you must learn one first (goodness knows our public schools aren’t any more). Much love. We need it. #behindthescenes #musiceducation Thanks for having me @bigrightfoot
Johnny has also backed up Randy on the guitar, and is an outspoken advocate for music education for children and adults alike. He looks perfectly natural on a Jumbotron, in our opinion, and we, personally, love seeing Johnny on stage.
According to Houser, “Johnny has become one of my dear friends and a lot of times when he gets through taping he’ll just jump on the bus and go ride with me for a few days.”
We’ll certainly be keeping an eye on Randy’s performances for another Johnny Galecki sighting, and, of course, can’t wait for his new full-length album. Who knows? Maybe Johnny will put in a appearance on that, as well!
