Jillian Jacqueline knows what it means to have a broken heart.
The up-and-coming artist, who released her EP “Side A” not so long ago, swung by the Mealey’s X Lounge yesterday to treat us to a short performance, and she was candid about the inspiration behind those songs.
Just like you and me, Jillian has had her heart broken. Just like you and me, she has felt the pain of a relationship ending. But she has the unique ability to turn all those negative emotions around and create something beautiful out of the fallout.
And when we say I say her songs are beautiful, that’s an understatement. Jillian’s voice is amazing, unassumingly sweet until it’s time to belt, and then she blows the listener away.
Jillian has been making the rounds on a radio tour, and this summer, she joins some big names on tour…namely, Thomas Rhett’s Life Changes Tour and Brett Eldredge’s The Long Way Tour. She is also playing with Jordan Davis on the White Wine and Whiskey Tour.
This artist is nothing if not well-rounded, though, as illustrated by her performance at the Sundance Film Festival, a joint venture between the American Society of Composers, Authors, & Publishers and the Country Music Association.
Check out her single “Reasons”, which was born out of the end of her previous relationship and the whirlwind that is re-establishing your life after a breakup, below.
