Video from the X Lounge: Haven't heard of Everette? YOU WILL SOON.

This pair is destined for big things, and we were honored to witness their performance.

May 16, 2018

Yesterday afternoon, we got lucky.

We got to host Kentuckians Anthony and Brent of Everette in the Mealey's X Lounge, and it was an occasion to remember.

First of all, this pair is adorable.  Not just physically, though, see the photo above...they're not painful to look at.  But they're adorable in that they finish each others sentences; they know to which inside joke the other is referring in an instant.  They are a perect compliment to one another, musically, vocally, and in terms of stage presence.  They are the yin and yang of country music, and, together, they are something greater than the sum of their parts.

Then they played, and we couldn't even.

Among a wealth of country goodness, we also got to hear "Rocket Man" by Billy Joel, "I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow" from 'O Brother, Where Art Thou?', (George Clooney's character in the film being the inspiration for the band name), and their single, "Slow Roll."  You can check out the performance below!

Everette, thank you so much for bringing your humor, your talent, and your love of music to our performance studio.  We can honestly say we are changed by the experience.  You were that good.

Just don't ask them about the original band name.  ;)
